Wine of the Week…Lama di Pietra
This week’s Wine of the Week is an Italian wine from the Puglia region. The vineyards are located in the hills north of Bari between 350 and 450 metres above sea level.
Lama di Pietra, made solely from Nero di Troia is ruby red in colour, and boasts aromas of mulberry and cherry which giving way to a soft palate.
Aged for 12 months in large French oak barrels, this wine balances richness with a fresh acidity, velvety tannins and a spicy finish.
This vegetarian and vegan friendly wine is delicious enjoyed on its own. Of course if you’re not vegetarian…it also pairs beautifully with venison and red meats. Available in our in-store off sales at the unbeatable price of £9.99.
