Wine of the Week…La Chasse Cotes Du Rhone

Taking centre stage as our Wine of the Week this week is La Chasse Prestige Cotes du Rhone.  Taken from grapes harvested from selected vineyards on the Cotes du Rhone Appelation in the Gard and Vaucluse areas.  The grape varieties used are Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre.  After fermentation, the different varieties are blended and the wine is stored in vats for 6 months prior to bottling, it is not aged in oak.

La Chasse is a deep red wine with purple tints.  It is intense and full on the nose with suggestions of blackberry, fruit and spices.  The spicy element complements the fruit character of this full, lively wine which has a long tasty finish.

This wine is delicious with Mediterranean Cuisine, cheeses and grilled or roast meats.
