Wine of the Week…Grand Ardéche Chardonnay

Grand Ardeche Chardonnay
Taking the ‘hot spot’ on our ‘Wine of The Week’ Wine Barrell this week is French Wine, Grand Ardéche Chardonnay by renowned winemaker Louis Latour. Louis Latour is a Burgandian King boasting a cabinet bursting with awards. However Louis Latour also makes fantastic value quality whites outside of the Burgundy region. Selecting a wine made slightly north of the Burgundy Region in the Ardéche Valley will save you a packet.
Grand Ardéche is a dry wine, fermented in traditional oak barrels, straw yellow in colour. The wine reveals an intense nose packed with aromas of Ripe Apple, Peach, Acacia Flower and Buttery Vanilla notes. It is round and powerful with a fresh almond finish on the palette.
This excellent value wine is perfect as an aperitif, or served with Chicken, Seafood, or Charcuterie Meats. Why not try it with one of our delicious ‘Cheese and Charcuterie Platters’ which are available to order at our In-Store Deli?
If you’re eating something different, we have a wide selection of wines available at a range of prices to suit all budgets, and our off-sales team are always happy to advise you on the right choice to match a particular dish.
