Ready, Steady, Grow! with Mulkerns SPAR & EUROSPAR
Mulkerns Eurospar recently launched their Ready Steady Grow initiative with local Primary Schools, Dromintee PS, Jonesborough PS, St Joseph’s PS Meigh, Killeen PS, and St Moninna’s PS Cloughogue. Under the initiative every family in each of the schools will receive a Free ‘Grow Pack’ from Mulkerns Spar / Eurospar. Each pack contains seeds, compost and compostable pots and Mulkerns are providing video demos on their social media platforms to demonstrate how to plant and care for the seeds.
Mulkerns are encouraging all families to get involved and pick up their grow pack, and also ask that the children share some photos of how their plants are progressing. There will be a prize for the best sunflower! Store managers Enya McAteer and Kelly McKeown recently visited each school to launch the initiative.
Enya commented “We are doing our best to help our local schools in these challenging times, we were mindful of the mental health of the children and wanted to design an initiative that would help them…as it happens this initiative is a perfect fit with each school’s recovery curriculum.”
The grow packs can be collected at Mulkerns SPAR Jonesborough and Mulkerns EUROSPAR Cloughogue.
