Community-Focussed Mulkerns Kick Off 2021 in Award Winning Style
Mulkerns Eurospar have begun 2021 in true award-winning style with a prestigious accolade from the UK-Wide Forecourt Trader Awards. One of the top UK-Wide Retail Awards Schemes.
The Awards hosted by Stephen Mulhern took place virtually on January 14th with ‘family-run’ Mulkerns Eurospar picking up the UK-Wide Award for Best Community Engagement.
Judges were impressed by the scale and creativity of Mulkerns’ Community support, with numerous events in support of various charities and local schools having taken place over the past year. The judges were amazed that even when facing the significant challenge of managing their business through the pandemic, Mulkerns still found time to keep their community safe, provide entertainment and goodies, and raise money for local schools and charities.
Adding to this achievement Mulkerns also recently won 3 Maxol Excellence Awards. “Excellence in Community Engagement”, “Store of the Year”, and “Excellence in Standards”. Norman Graham from Maxol called recently to present the awards to the team at Mulkerns and, also presented £1000 in vouchers which will be raffled among staff.
Speaking about the recent awards, Terry Mulkerns commented “We are delighted to have won these awards. Our community has always been central to our business. We are proud to receive this recognition and pleased for our staff who have worked very hard throughout the pandemic to keep the community safe, help our local schools, raise money for charity, and also still be here smiling and ready to serve our customers.
